Google's new Knol knowledge base

Google has a new information service now, called Knol, which is in beta at this time. The service is much like Wikepedia, where people can contribute their expertise to a common knowledge base. At this point, Google is inviting people to write on various topics, but in time, will accept comments and contributions from a larger audience. Although Google is presently picking and choosing its first contributors, it seems like a great opportunity for exposure in the near future. This is one to keep an eye on, folks.
